West Cornwall Ride 110218

Phill, Gid & myself met up at 9.30 on a chilly Sunday morning for a short ride around local lanes. Phill was wanting to test out his KE after carrying out some mechanical work and Gid & I just fancied a quick ride.

Phill quickly got bored of watching Gid & I playing with our phones trying to sort out the route so Gid could lead for a change biggrin and announced he would lead the ride, in order to get on and not stand around in the cold I expect!

We headed out to ride some muddy, wet lanes around Porthtowan, Perranporth and surrounding areas. I fought a losing battle with the GoPro so didn't actually record half the ride, but managed to sort it out while Phill was adjusting his gear lever at the end of one of the lanes. (video will shortly be on YouTube)

Gid managed a couple of wobbly moments and I rode like a fanny down most lanes as for some reason just couldn't find my balance point cry

Enjoyed the couple hours riding though. It ended abruptly when my chain wrapped itself around the front sprocket as the split link decided to **** itself and snap in half. I didn't have a spare with me (there is now one in my toolkit!) so we managed to source some rope and Gid towed me home to Camborne.

An eventful morning and thoroughly good fun! smile
